Idaho Falls Auditorium District Welcomes New Executive Director

Idaho Falls, ID. – The Idaho Falls Auditorium District is excited to welcome their new
Executive Director, Rob Spear, to the organization. There will be a press conference on Tuesday, April 23rd at 1:30 at the Idaho Falls Auditorium District downtown office (467 Constitution Way, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83402).

“After a three-month search, the board agreed that Rob is the right person for this position and we are excited to see him onboard with this project,” said chair Terri Gazdik. Spear replaces former director Chip Scott who resigned earlier this year for family reasons.

Spear comes to the Auditorium District after leaving his prior position as the Director of Athletics at the University of Idaho. Spear earned his doctorate degree from the University of Idaho, MBA from the University of Montana and undergraduate degree in business from the College of Great Falls (now the University of Providence).

Spear is a proven administrator whose experience cuts across both the private and public sectors.  With over 30 years of experience, Spear has made a difference in every organization he has been associated with.  He is a proven fundraiser who was responsible for several multi-million-dollar gifts to the University of Idaho; managed over $50M construction projects ranging from athletic facilities to bio engineering buildings; and he has a history of developing and establishing positive relationships with community, state, federal and corporate organizations.  Spear and his wife, Sandy, have always immersed themselves into community activities.

“I want to commend the IFAD Board for doing its due diligence and thoroughly understanding the facts surrounding my departure from the University of Idaho,” said Spear. “That is one of the reasons I am so excited to assume this position for the Idaho Auditorium District.  It was obvious during my interactions with the IFAD Board that they have a collective vision and commitment to seeing this project succeed.  Their passion for the community of Idaho Falls is obvious and I am excited to help move this project across the finish line. “
